We are half way through 2021, and next year’s traveling is starting to take shape. Unlike this year’s monthly domestic excursions, next year will involve more international traveling – fingers crossed that Asia and Africa will have most of their people vaccinated against Covid by then.
If Havasupai opens up next February as they’ve projected, we’ll start the year hiking to and camping at Havasupai falls. Of course, a stop in Vegas is a given…ton katsu 🤤
The summer will be the epic 2-week trip back to the Serengeti. This time we’ll be joined by the mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Quite honestly, East Africa is one place we don’t mind going back to year after year, no matter how brutally long the flights can be. Just being able to spend time around animals in their natural habitat is worth it.
Finally, our 3-4 month long trip to Taiwan and South East Asia will start in November. As silly as it sounds, at this point the most exciting part (other than hanging with mom and dad) of this particular trip for me is the chance to fly Business using all the points I’ll been accumulating over the next few months. Joe, on the other hand, doesn’t particularly care about flying in business. Then again, “you don’t know what you don’t know.”
Hiking the W will have to wait until 2023. So much to do, so little time…
