The dreaded old injury is back. Woke up with soreness in the left Achilles this morning. I suspect the culprits were the fartlek I did 2 days ago, and the lack of foam rolling over time. Tried to run this morning, but within a minute I knew I had to stop. My younger self would have pushed through training runs and eventually be completely incapacitated within a week or two. With more experience under my belt, I’ve opted to stop running and start rehabbing. Hopefully, with more stretching and rest, I’ll be back on the road in a week (or less).
