Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall

Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall

Following our 2 hour visit to the Sekumpul area waterfalls, we set off for the waterfalls in the Banyu Wana Amertha region. The nominal entrance fee ($3 pp) nets you 4 waterfalls. This hike is a bit shorter than the hike in Sekumpul, but at an incline on the way back in 85°F and 60% humidity, it is still no walk in the park.

No wonder some people hire scooters to visit the waterfalls.
The trail here is straight forward, so no guides needed.
With cannas of all different colors, and other vibrant flowers along the path. Those on scooters obviously missed out on these.
Soon you find yourself under the tree canopy.
Beautiful waterfall #1
View from a different angle
The quintuple waterfall #2
Me giving it a little perspective.
The barely there waterfall #3. I’m sure it’s impressive during the wet season.
Across from #3 is #4
#4 is the main attraction of Banyu Wana Amertha.
The beautiful formations of all these waterfalls make up for the smaller size.
Jungle paradise, as long as you can overlook the heat and humidity.

The original plan was to swing by Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, but we decided to cut our tour short as we both wanted nothing more than to take a shower after a sopping wet sweaty hike.
